A due passi da Piazza San Marco, il Ridotto Restaurant rappresenta una delle realtà gastronomiche più interessanti di Venezia, insignito fin dal 2013 con la stella Michelin, grazie alla sua cucina di ricerca, ma non artificiosa che nasce dalla passione del patron Gianni Bonaccorsi e di suo figlio Nicolò.
Il nome del locale – curato e accogliente pur in spazi molto limitati, con soli 9 tavoli - si ispira al "Teatro Ridotto", un piccolo e antico teatro veneziano. La cucina proposta è ancorata ai prodotti della terra e del mare, e propone piatti di ricerca, alla riscoperta di ricette antiche da interpretare con mano e pensiero moderni.
Nessuna concessione sulla materia prima, che dev'essere ineccepibile. I piatti gourmet dello chef esaltano i prodotti che provengono dagli orti, oltre che dalla pesca e dalla caccia all'interno della laguna: al variare delle stagioni, questo sistema fornisce i legumi e le verdure da abbinare a pesci, crostacei e carni, con un pensiero di cucina che coniuga modernità e tradizione, ma è certamente innovativo.
Al palato si vivono sempre sensazioni contrastanti dettate dall'alternarsi di acidità, di variabili piccanti, o di contrappunti dolci. Si possono scegliere le capesante e carote al tea nero affumicato, il branzino con cavolo cappuccio e salsa all'aglio o la zuppa di caciucco con pasta mista al profumo di limone verde, gli spaghetti neri con ricci di mare e peperone candito.
La carta dei vini, che gioca bene le sue carte tra vini italiani e internazionali, presenta etichette scelte tra piccoli produttori che esprimono al meglio il territorio in cui operano.

Very close to Piazza San Marco, the Ridotto Restaurant is one of the most interesting gastronomic realities of Venice, awarded since 2013 with the Michelin star, thanks to its sophisticated, but not artificial cuisine, that comes from the passion of the patron Gianni Bonaccorsi and his son Nicolò.
The name of the restaurant - nice and welcoming even in very limited spaces, with only 9 tables - is inspired by the "Teatro Ridotto", a small and ancient Venetian theater. The proposed cuisine is anchored to the products of the land and the sea, and offers dishes based on the rediscovery of ancient recipes to be interpreted with a modern touch.
No concession on the raw materials, which must be exceptional. The chef's gourmet dishes enhance the products that come from the gardens, as well as the fishing and hunting inside the lagoon: as the seasons change, this system provides legumes and vegetables to be joined with fish, shellfish and meat, with a cooking thought that combines modernity and tradition, but that is certainly innovative.
On the palate there are always conflicting feelings dictated by the alternation of acidity, spicy variables, or sweet counterpoints. You can choose scallops and carrots with smoked black tea, sea bass with cabbage and garlic sauce or caciucco soup with a mixture of green lemon, black spaghetti with sea urchins and candied peppers.
